Ahmed Shawki palaces ( Karmat Ibn Hanie ) is situated on Nile side in Giza on a 1400 m² lot. It is just off the road from Opera House to cairo University, passing by Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil Museum & Orman gardens.
The palace was built in Neoclassic style with circular arches mixed with segmental ones on free standing columns & balustrading, A mixture of Islamic & Classic details were used in interiors. this style was common the last quarter of the 19th century.
