The palace was erected in 1923 by prince Amr Ibrahim in an outstanding site on the west bank of the Nile after the revolution. The palace was nationalized and the Ministry of culture took over it. It was converted to a museum for temporary display of M.M Khalil permanent museum in Giza, the palace was converted to exhibit Islamic Porcelain due to the extraordinary works of the palace internal architecture itself, porcelain in floorngs & walls.
