He taught in the Department of Architectural Engineering, Cairo University, without interruption since his graduation in 1949 till higher studies mission in 1952.

Graduated from Cairo University (B.Arch.1949), He got a Fulbright Scholarship for graduate Studies in USA, his Master’s degree in 1954 from Univ. of Michigan and PH.D. in architecture from Colombia University in 1957.
